Jambo!
Welcome to our space (you and I), let's get cosier here and have the time of our lives!
Well, that's the farthest I could go with the welcome line, what do you make of it? ๐
I hope it extends your stay here, even for a bit.
Let's head on.
First, apologies to those who tried to catch up on the articles published from the first to the third week of August 2020; had to pull those down for permissions' sake mostly plus other factors. Hope you do read me...
Gracias!
Self knowledge has become a dear subject to me that I have had and I am still having a hard time letting go of. I bet you know me for the 'self knowledge' talk and that's probably where my feet are planted, not to be moved soon.
Don't leave yet, we're just getting started...
I am dazzled at how unique we are yet so common. How we find a way to work together yet we are of different descents. How we are of different skin colours yet human. How even though we are of different races we still have the same blood colour. You do get the point, yes?
I know you do.
What makes us that different yet the same?
I have particularly had an interest in knowing on what goes through our minds when put in one situation but are of different filiations. Like, what if 100 of us from let's say different descents are put in one dark room, how would we behave as dictated by our thoughts?
This question is particularly a practical for this Corona stricken period. We have all been found by a disease that we know nothing about and even if we knew anything about, it must be what we are learning from scientists who are constantly experimenting and being kind enough to share their findings. Through this period each one of us has found a sort of counteract. No matter how much we tried or would have tried to react in a conventional way, it proved impossible, starting from the point that some knew and thought the disease is present and we're conscious and some didn't see how there can come a killer disease from eating a bat. Let's not even go to the religious and traditional opinions on the disease.
All that aside.
Back to the room situation. While others try to find their way out of the darkness, some give up on ever seeing the light, some complain and try to find people to blame for the dark...basically each of the 100 people would react in some type of way.
It is a wonder still that there may be several groupings among the 100, depending on the personalities and how each person has been wired to think and react. Could be a calm and collected group or a rage-filled group;whichever the case.
But all that while, what goes through their minds? Are their actions out of fear, courage, love, hate...? What is their driving force?
It also drives me loco to imagine that even though the 100 people consolidate to groups that react in one way or another each has his or her own thoughts and thought processes.
So, lets keep at the differentiation bit.
We are all human but each of us is so queer. Even when we find ourselves grouped into personality types and all groupings there exists on earth, we are all so so unique.
I am quite sure that what you are reading is not new to you and this is not exactly an aha moment for you.
But, yes, there is need to re-emphasize.
In being queer we have the licence to turn the token of life we were given at birth into what we deem best. There may be bundles of ourselves that we find hard to come to terms with dubbed insecurities;those accentuate the you we are talking about.
From the first second of your existence on earth to date, you are living in the fullness of your peculiar self. That remains so until you decide to copy another mortal's life. Even on copying, you won't comprehensively live that other person's life.
Hence, there is need to accept who you are and who you are daily growing into. The light or the dark skin you. The tall or too short a person you are. The eloquent or not so eloquent you. You being a solely introverted being or you being an overly extroverted human. You being an Enneagram Two or an Enneagram Nine. Whatever form of you you are, be that.
We must admit how hard it is at times not to copy the 'commons'. It gets so hard to resist the currents' flow. At times it is even so hard to tell who we are apart from the popular thought of who we ought to be.
All I have been saying through the shuffle is, we need to embrace how different we are and live life to the fullest. Yes, there are rules, regulations, conditions, ethics, traditions on how we move here and there and how to do this or that but there is also so much freedom to be YOU.
Swim in the the freedom of You-ness.
Go be YOU, unapologetically!

Love it!
