Jambo!
Welcome to our space (you and I), let's get cosier here and have the time of our lives!
This was one dated 14th December 2020. Excuse the procrastination and laziness. I mean the title was, but the paragraphs were so uphill to come up with. Writers block kind of thing.
So, to start with, I am not sure I know much about the topic. Let's just say its all about what I am doing right now when typing this.
Let me give you a little backbone to this narrative. Believe me when I say it is little, because I have no intention of keeping you bored here with a long train of thought...ha.
There is a meaning for genius in the dictionary but I am not in for that today. Yes, that's the meaning we have all known for the word but there is also what we believe. Do you people have such a nudge? Like you know exactly what something means but it definitely doesn't feel so or you don't believe that's how it ought to mean? Like, when you say "it's over" yes it means it is over but do you believe that or feel that?...uhm...Sorry I deviated a bit. What I meant to say is...
I have always known genius is 'those people' , that 'extraordinary ability' that most of us don't have or what has been hawked on shows as 'genius kids', 'geniuses' and all that drill that you know of. Okay, I had to recheck my dictionary so that I can be sure I am relaying this message well. It says, genius is possessing extraordinary mental capacity. While that is true, I will differ with it in the way the world sells it.
My narrative changed when I started getting into books of Napoleon Hill, Robert Kiyosaki and the likes.
It is funny how much we can put ourselves into a confine when we all a while had the ability to get out of.
So, in my earlier set of belief, I just sat and had nothing working in my brain or I had just let the brain or whatever that needed to be awake, sleep. I had nothing going on with it. I think this brain almost feared challenge. It was afraid of the new. It was afraid of leaving 'reserve mode'. It was afraid of thinking out of the box. You all know if the brain is that dead, the body does not function any further than that. The body just flows and finds itself in the motion. I almost feel like I am taking about the Walking Dead, but that's how it was going on; a dead brain walking a body (scientists save the scrutiny, its just how I think that looked like). You must tell, that was a total disaster.
That went on until the point I am at now, the point where I know the meaning of genius but have to also look for what I believe and what I feel about it. I must admit, I was shocked I am a genius too. I have that extraordinary something. It doesn't matter what those 'brain people' say; you too are a genius. The Z-generation says extraordinaire. You are that.
So, in what I feel and believe about genius is as simple as having the will, having motivation and having a straightforward look at life's many dynamics. The fact that you are able to win through each day, which starts with what you think of the day and how you make it turn out makes you genius enough.
Disclaimer, I am about to slide religion in here, I know its worth it๐. If you believe you were created by a supernatural being who was that creative, let's say genius raised to power infinity, what makes you think you don't have the same running through you?
So, re-awakening the genius is all about us getting up from slumber. Just footing each day with the bravery it deserves. Not putting ourselves down. Keeping ourselves affirmed of our worth. And of course, thinking of ourselves as genius as there can ever be.
It is re-awakening as its not that it's the first time this genius went to sleep and is being awakened, it is a process through and through. It maybe the genius slept after your undergrad with the thought that it is all accomplished but hey, there's much more to do... So it's a constant re-awakening. This is not where it stops either, we keep doing it. I hope you do understand what I mean.
Another disclaimer; this may also be a gentle message to self, good if you dig ๐.
It been my time.
Adios.
