You're Six? Wow.

To this point I am sure there are people who still won't take anything about that Ennaegram typing. I won't blame them and I am neither shaming them nor calling them out.   I am just a little bit concerned. For the Christian it might be 'it's only God who decides who I am' that is keeping them from going into it. For some it might be, 'I already know who I am'. Well and good, it is of no use forcing ideas, something they say about taking the cow to the river and not forcing it to... You're right! We are in week three of our study๐Ÿ˜€. Just in case you didn't notice. Welcome back to my blog (insert your favourite YouTuber's voice) . Thank you. You might have heard your friend utter the following as he or she told stories of their past or childhood, "I used to look forward to seeing my father come back home. I would read and try to figure out his mood from afar. I would look out for a smile or a drunken stagger, that would pretty much let me int...

THE ENNEAGRAM AND SELF-MASTERY

I used to see the word Enneagram quite often on social media. I knew it was a method of personality classification, but I was never interested in identifying myself with it let alone taking the test. I was pretty sure I would never find a type that I felt described me. I've taken personality tests before and more often than not, I fail them. I came to believe my personality is too diverse to be put into a box.  When my friend sent me the test to take, I rolled my eyes. However, because I didn't want to offend her, I just decided to take the test, certain that I would be dissatisfied with the result. And I was. I got Enneagram 4 - Envy. Never in my life had a personality test been so wrong about me. Never before had my assigned personality been described in such negative terms. I also got results nearly as high in about 3 other Enneagram types, so I was sure I was anything but a 4. So I told my friend I felt I was more of a type 1 than a 4. A few weeks later, she sent me a video...

Are you a Fun One or Seven?

Into the deep stuff now.  We are probably taking a deep dive into the Enneagram.  A little more buying into the idea by that  Christian monk, Evagrius . You can Google that up because I am not about to have it all here.๐Ÿ˜Ž It is okay if you have not bought into Enneagram yet, you can critique too. A free space to do so is yours. Have a grand time! So, if you have been keen to go into the Enneagram you probably know the features identifying each of the nine types. Each of the nine has characteristics unique yet common or well identifiable with any human being. With each we get to see the best of their characters and with there being a 'best', there is definitely a worst somewhere. If not worst, lets say negative just before you give up with these generalizations. In a bid not to bore you, we will go through a pair today. ๐Ÿ˜Š  For the longest time I had trouble not finding mistakes in what other people did or had. My opinion had to have a 'but' or just going straight out...

The Personality Juggle

Welcome to this new space.  Not exactly new. Just a little adjustment, more like shifting sofas in the living area.  Or like bringing new wall hangings. But still. Welcome. Let's get all cozy here๐Ÿ˜. So, here we go... I have never been so keen on personalities except when I am keen on mine. It has been a life's journey into where I stand at now. You can bet it has not been easy, just as it has been so long. Oh yes, I am  having you read something that has never interested you as well? For all one knows, feel free to leave it right where you see the next full-stop.  See what we did there? You ought to have stopped. But well, we are here. I have been there, done that! You are not iconic at that. And yes, all that is moral support platitude. I'd be better than you, so sit down, keep scrolling or better still just read with a ready response of how trash this post is. Well, that's not new to me either. Let's go on... I am not  sure where along my life's journey I bec...
